The base is described as a 1.6mm base but it actually accommodates jewelry that has a 1.2mm thread.
Its name "1.6mm" comes from the fact that the measurement is taken on each side of the tube ends. If you wear another 1.2mm eyebrow or labret jewelry, simply screw the bar or labret onto the implant to confirm that it is indeed 1.2mm.
