Caring for 18-carat gold piercing jewelry
Caring for your piercing jewelry
Your piercing is a delicate product that deserves some care, here is our maintenance advice.
Maintain your piercing jewelry
These tips will help you protect your jewelry:
- Protect your jewelry: to avoid scratches, store them separately to prevent them from colliding,
- Remove them for sports activities: jogging, swimming pool, hammam, sauna,
- Some cosmetics and perfumes may damage your jewelry,
- Be careful not to "catch" the claws in the cotton wool or towel loops,
- To keep a new piece of jewelry looking its best, clean it regularly with water and pH neutral soap, rinse, then dry with a soft cloth,
- Yellow gold can sometimes oxidize in the part that passes under the skin (nose piercing, eyebrow, navel, etc.).
For tarnished piercings and those with precious stones, have them cleaned by a jeweler.
Never use antiseptic or alcohol on gold jewelry, as this could damage it.
